The stems on my fruit are staying wet. The fruit is dry as a bone. No sign of cracks or lesions. I'm going out now to dry them and see what happens. Thanks for any input.

Try an anti-perspirant! LOL Arrid, Rightguard? I think the cause of this sweating is that you big punkin ia going through a big workout right now as it puts on weight (just think of it a pumping iron in the plant kingdom) You'd sweat too. Pumpkin sweat glands just happen to be in the stem.

BEER, but only 'mericans would ever think of using LIGHT beer! LOL

Up here in Canada, our beer is so thick, you have to use a spoon! Try Moosehead Ale and give it a chaser of Crown Royal!
The handles on our beer cases are big enough to fit your hands with
mitts on.
....LOL.....

Hey Dave Thanks for the advice on using antiperspirant! Now I have some good smellin' pumpkins!!! Yes Jeff very humid the last couple days. At least the sun is out today. I wouldn't waste my beer on a plant. There would be none left for me if I did!!! LOL!! Seriously Dave is that true about a pumpkin sweats through the stem?

Seriously, the stem is the lifeline between the rest of your plant and the immense fruit that it feeds. It's like a big , high-pressure organic hose.
I wouldn't worry about it sweating a little. Cracks, or leaks could pose a problem.
Incidently, it was 34C (94F) here yesterday, RH 63%, and it's supposed to be even hotter today, up to 38C (100.4F) in some places!! Thankful for the low humidity. My pumpkin is doing just fine, and should be blooming in about a week.

Never heard of a stem sweating this time of year...or any for that matter. No sweat glands. Waste of good beer. etc.....small growth cracks in the stem maybe, with a little ooze. Dust with Captan or sulfer...watch it grow....G

Hey Jeff352,
Theres another kind of beer.........it's the best kind there is.......HOMEBREW !!!!

I have been making it for years. It's what I do with my time in-between pumpkin seasons. I don't know which I enjoy more........pumpkins or homebrew..........luckily, I don't have to choose just one!

Hey Jeff352, where did you get that beer from? I know this brand and drink it sometimes, but triple bock indeed should be a special edition...available only one time in the year...I like this normal Hefeweizen (wheat beer) beside our local beer. Don´t know you need to pay tax if I´ll send it, would be an expensive beer.......Cheers!
