I believe that it is a 850.5 Hester x self. The 827 was about 50 lbs light for it's size, and you should expect similarly light fruit. It should be a vigouous plant, as Pinnenut made the same cross with his 715, and has had great success with all the plants that he has used. Fruit should be nice shaped, and have decent color.

Sequoia, I grew the 827 last year & it is a vigorous plant. A culling error on my part kept me from getting a good pumpkin on the plant. I had a decent one growing on a 2ndary & culled it in favor of a fruit on the main. The one on the main fizzled out on me. (I think it was due to too much heat when pollinated) The one I culled on the 2ndary was growing slower than the pumpkins on the other plants, but was very heavy for it's size(basketball). Be patient with the slow early growth. It should pick up the pace after about 20 days...at least mine seemed to do that. Nice orange color & decent shape.
