If being laughed at isnt enough,,,then I go and stick a fan in my patch...LMAO....Friday,,I go to the garden center,,,actually a co-op fertilizer store...I'm talking to guy I bought from last time...He starts his laughing again...And when I tell him my pkin was gaining 10lbs. a day..he starts rolling on the floor...People already think I'm crazy,,and if they only knew my fan was in the patch,,I'd be the laughing stock of Ga....The fan has made a difference it appears...Is doing its job keeping Baby G's tail dry...Gonna be hot here today...Suppose to hit mid 90's...Oh well,,those 80's for the past week helped...Just wish they would stay.....

Well,,,I have made a mistake,,and wanna cleanse my soul!!!Somehow yesterday in my troubles/excitement I somehow screwed up....Not a 20lb. gain after all...How bout 10lbs......Just as it had been doing...Sorry for lying...WILL EVERYONE PLEASE FORGIVE ME...I had the measurements right,,somehow I looked at the cir. and then figured the cir. as day befores gain,,which would have been 50,,so I figured 50lbs.,,and weight yesterday was 70lbs...So I subtracted 70-50=20...That sux...Had to get this off my chest,,felt bad since I discovered my mistake...Seems Baby G only gained 6 lbs. last night...76lbs. is total today...Boy I feel like an $$&^%*&!!!So,,4 lbs. less than it has been gaining..If it decides to go to pkin heaven,,,I do have another 2 growing on the 455...1 of the 2 grew 2.5" in ott measurement last night..It was measured before dark,,so it actually grew 2.5 over night..Only problem with these 2,,,,they are on secondaries....Time will tell....Once again,,sorry for the exagerated gain in weight...Please forgiveme...

Jeff,
I know how exciting it is to have a frut growing. It may be helpful to your fruit to not touch it so much. Measuring every other day at the early stage would be good for sure. Lots of guys just measure once a week. Reason I mention this is because I have lost fruit to what I believe was just too much touching.

Guys.Just let me say its a blast following this 455 stuff. Im keeping track of all the growth rates etc of the 455 fruits since it came from my patch, I highly recommend all growers out there keep the grower that thier plants came from in the info loop...its a blast and very informative. Jeff...Im sure yours will be fine. Brian(Pappy) ..Ive got "fatback","Porky" and now "Mrs.Big" .....but what happened to the measurements of the first one...Big Sow ?? That was doing the best....please send me the update.Thanks.....G

Hey G, I culled Porky because Fatback outgrew her. Fatback is at the 100# mark this morning. Haven't named one Big Sow yet but would like too if you don't have a patent on it.LOL!! Next measurements will be tomorrow. More pics in a couple of days. Jeff, I forgive you of your lying ways. Do like me and round your measurements to the lowest inch. LMAO!!!
