We had over 2 inches of rain between last night and today. The forecast is for 70's and low 80's next 4 days with sunny skies...can't ask for much better pumpkin weather than that.
I would expect almost 1 foot a day from the vines.

Knocking on wood with fingers crossed in CT.

Well a foot can be done in a day but is a little much to ask...4-8 inches would be fine. LOL

2" of rain, you want some more. I've had about 10" of rain in the last 5 weeks.

Boy I hope so a litle cool at nite. we didn't get as much rain here we kept missing the big bursts. plants are definitly not doing as good. a little spurt here to get them to lay down would make me feel better. get over one of thr hurtles. bugs are everywhere. heard the drought brings the grubs up early.and the white flys are back immediately after the rain. I hate to keep applying sevin so often.

We don't have enough rain here either. It is cloudy but no rain. I guess I will water my plant if it does not rain.

The rain Gods have decided to cut us poor Eastern Washington pumpkin growers some slack today. It's been nice to finally have cloudy weather AND rain....
