one of my plants is producing both main & secondairy at this point. The main being about 14" from stump to vine tip,the secondairy or rear main is about 4" long and is growing from in between the first or second true leaf joint. The plant itself looks very healthy big leafs, fat stump, etc. But compared to the other plant i have growing, has a 2 ft plus main and some 4" secondairys popping out from the leaf joints on the main.Is this slow vine growth due to two vines trying to grow at the same time? Both have the same care, water, ferts, hoophouses, etc.I would be thankfull for any input.Thanks.John

The plants job is to "put out and survive" and create seeds to keep the species going. From what I've been hearing this has been a really tough (slow) start for many growers because of the weather. Many of my plants are doing the same thing, whether this is a good thing or not, will take about 4 months to determine!
