I see many growers using this stuff next to the base of their plants, so I bought some called "Weed-X" (don't know if any of you are familiar with that brand). It's suppose to let water in, and keep weeds out, but I'm having a difficult time trying to get water to go through it. It said on the package that is will let water go through it once it has made firm contact with the soil. Well, after getting all the soil under the fabric wet and pressing the fabric down firlmy on the wet soil, I still can't get water through it! Any ideas?

Thanks,
Andrew

Yo Andrew,
One of the guys here uses that stuff on some other plants...he puts a mulch over the fabric. When the mulch is watered it helps to soak it through the fabric without it running away.
