We had a problem with the company we share our T1 line with. Seems that somebody in their organization decided to switch a powerstrip off. Of course they didn't bother to check what was plugged into this power switch. The network switch that our Internet connection comes from was one of the things plugged in there. So the server was actually running just fine. Problem was nobody could get to it! |
