The first leaves on two of my plants are very badly deformed almost look like brain mushrooms. Should I jerk them and start over or give them some time to see what they will do. Thanks Ken

Ken, are we talking seed leaves or true leaves. The seed leaves are from the cotyledons and are probably related to seed formation (in other words, factors beyond our control). I've have deformed true leaves on all my plants this year. I had them last year as well. I think it is from letting them get too large and too close to the grow lights before getting transplanted. I think that "burns" the edges. Future leaves to come out seem to be fine.

Give them some time. We have all had some "leaves "that look funny.

I agree! However, if the first and second true leaves also come out deformed......not a good omen!
