ok i got my manure in. yes it is black. so now it is getting near the middle of may, i need info on the fastest germination possible. what should i start them in too?

you still have time... no need to panic. that comes later... :) ... in any number of ways.
go to big pumpkins "home" type " Ailts " in search. look for his sead starting method- it should be the 1st thing in the results.
if it looks to tough... file the edges- not at the tip- with sand paper... then soak them in water over night plant them horizontal 1 inch deep in potting soil in a 4-6 inch pot. keep in a warm place- 80-90 degrees. good luck
