I used isotox once a month to reduce the risk of squash vine borers. I didn't have any, and don't know if I was lucky or the systemic insecticide helped.

i used a systemic product last year made by the Bayer company. It was the first year that i had NO problems with svb's. I also used a residual spray along with the bayer product. I alternated spraying these two items throughout the growing season. You can find the Bayer product( it's listed as a systemic spray for fruit trees but can be used on pumpkins)at the finest store on earth---LOWE'S!! Good luck.
