My plants cover about 15 to 20 sq. ft. and I buried everything except the fan leaves and main tip. Is that ok?

I usually leave the last 18-24" of the main and secondarys
uncovered.

Yo Brian,
I cover every bit of vine except the last few feet of main and side vines and also leave 3'-4' clear either side of the fruit.
