what does it say on the box ? I think it will say once every two weeks. that would be a good rate. if you want to push them you could try once a week and watch your plant to see how it does. just my opinion... if you ask ten other growers you might get 10 different answers.
but don't get sucked into being a moron... (after all you're already a self proclaimed idiot, right ???) just teasing ... :) moron theory... ... if some is good- then "more on" must be better... yes we want to push our plants but we don't want to over do it.

after fruit set you want to switch to something that has a high 3rd #. like 0-0-30 .

Here is a good link for organic fertilizers. It might be a good choice for you & there are a wide variety of formulas to choose from. http://www.fertilegrower.com/

Oh I forgot, fertilize once a week & they have a 5-10-40 formula that is good for after fruit set. And by the way put a AG seed in the ground, you'll be glad you did........ Paul

when did your pumpkin sprout? Don't fertilize too much when it's small, The seed leaves take care of the plant for a couple weeks.

question---why wait???---you only live once, and even though the Atlantic Giant is the biggest and the best and therefore the most fun to grow, they're all the same in most ways---i analogize AGs to drag racing--in that case, there is a progression they probably have to follow---but here, there is such thing as a 900+-pound first AG! if you can get your hands on even open-pollinated AG seeds from the local farm store, or from a local AG grower by all means---do it! guaranteed more fun! right alongside your Big Maxes!!!
