hi i was wondering if i could successfully grow a large pumpkins in a 5 gallon bucket

I don't think you can do that idiot.It would probably take many 5 gal buckets to grow an AG. I don't know. Try it, but if you fail try something else. Good Luck, A beginner

You can bring one to the flowering stage. I only have space for one plant but I grow others in five gallon pails to use for cross pollenation.

It seems like you would be watering it all of the time. I considered planting one in a half whiskey barrel. It took almost 5 cubit ft. of soil to fill it up. I,m going to try one .Also you would have to figure out a way to feed it . From watering it alot you will leach out the soil in the bucket. I would use something bigger if i was you. Also the vines are going to be all over. Do you have room for it to spread out?
