Somehow, the main vine on my plant broke about 3 feet away from the stem Yes, I planted it early. Is it worth trying to save?
Also, It is starting to get hot where I live? How can I build a shade structure?

Best bet is to train a secondary (one or the first ones off the stump) to be a main and abandon the broken main.....G

When it gets 95-1o5 in the central valley I used shade cloth. I just tried it to 4 T stakes. I also used a misting system.
