I was just wondering what some opinions were on what the ideal seed germination temp should be? Thanks Mike

I like to keep mine between 84 and 87 initially, then upper 70's once tap root sprouts and seed goes into the soil. Would like to find out what it is offically, though. Had 100 percent ratio again this year... 8 of 8.

Thanks for your input Madman. I hope some others post their opinion on the perfect temperature for germination!

I started my seed in my incubator in peat pots. Held the temp at 84. Seems to have worked really well. There is still a few that hasn,t shown signs of germinating. Out of 31 seeds i strated 18 were up withing 3 days. 4 more have come up since. Im not sure what the ideal temp is. But my guess would be what ever seems to work best for you

We did a presoak on our seeds keeping the room temp at around 72 degrees Then when placed in soil we kept the temp between 80-84. 100% germination on 16 started seeds.

This year I started my seeds in Coffee pots and set them on top of my salt water fish tank. Very warm. Seeds germinated in two to three days.
