I'm just trying to see how much interest there would be for an idea of mine. I'm a member of the media up here in Canada, and I have some idea for creating some giant pumpkin exposure. I have contacts at a national television series called the things we do for love. It is a weekly half hour show that features various types of couples doing various quirky things. Why not feature a couple that keeps their love alive with a passion for growing giant pumpkins? I'm wondering what all of you think about this, and if there would be any couples out there that apply.
My second idea involves me directly. I'm the sports director of a radio station here in Edmonton and am trying to come up with ideas about how I could promote the hobby. Last year we ran a contest that had huge response, where I posted a picture of myself with my pumpkin on our website. Listeners were invited to guess the weight(of the pumpkin, not me) and the closest guess won a DVD player. It was one of our most succesfull promotions ever, as the response was overwhelming. Does anyone have any ideas how I could improve on it this year? Maybe a link to the bigpumpkins website? Any Ideas would be great. Thanks to all,
Cameron.
