8" inches of snow in the last 24 hours plus a fair amount of rain before that. It puts a damper on the spring fever. I wish I had the patch work done because it will be a while before I can get back in the patch. Its supposed to do this most of the week. YUCK!

Brian, you must be getting the southern part of the storm that we got in Alberta. In total we received over 12 inches, and it was so wet, it was like shovelling cement. Yuck indeed!

4 inches of snow here. It rained a lot before the snow came. It's suppose to be like this until Friday. Our temps here aren't nearly as cold as yours, Brian. It's still YUCK!!!!!!!!! But, we need the moisture. We'll take it clear or in the white form.

We had 1 3/4" of rain over the weekend. My patch is still partially under water. We've received three times the normal amount of rain in the month of April. BTW, it's not "yuck"...it's MUCK!

Sure glad that you boy's from the north are getting all the snow and rain up there. We have only had 3.5 inches of rain all season. Will need your water for the pumpkins in Southern California. Yea snow and rain

It was 90 here Sunday. Monday it stayed around 60 all day.Was 42 this morning at 6am. This is about normal for April here. When you think it is safe to put out your tender plants. Boom a cold spell comes through and your plants get wind burned. This is why i wait for May to plant pumpkins and melons here... Greg C.

It is 52 degrees and the wind blowing is about 6-7 mph. We are expecting some rain and low snow in the foothills. It was 85 on Sun. Today was spent digging a ditch to bring water out to the main garden. Mike did most of the digging but I helped. I can't wait until it warms up again.

I check the teperature in half sun at 11:45 am - 12:30 pm. The past 4 days predicted highs were 90, 95, 87, and 91. The temps in my patch were 97, 115, 100, and 100. oday we had bad storms with 70 mph wind and many trees down. There were storms yesterday that had lots of lightning and golfball sized hail, fortunatly there was no hail around here. It's supposed to storm again tomarrow (well, later today I guess) and then get back to more seasonable weather next week. MD has had 13" below average rain fall. Also, the normal temp. here for this time of year is 68 degrees. Tom

I'm leaving for Boston on Monday. Hope to visit a few patches. Bob Duffy has volunteered to be my "Pumpkin Guide". The weather seems to have cooled considerably! Sounds like Pacific Northwest weather will be the "order of the day"!

Yesterday I was working in the garden-pumpkin patch, it was pretty nice so I took my shirt off and got my first sunburn of the year. YEAH, BABY. Today I was tilling the patch during a hail storm, that hurt. Then it snowed on me. But I just kept on tilling...no pain, no gain.

I just got back from a week in Disney World. The Florida temps were in the 90's and when I got back to upstate New York, it's snowing. Hardly seems fair...
