Just got back from the Port Elgin seminar in Niagara Falls! For those of you that missed it, "A great time was had by all", eh! The free beer was running a little low Saturday night, so Mr. Bobier raffled off one of his 723's (for $1), for beer money! What a guy!(Someone else went home with an 801.5 Stelts for $60!) With over 120 growers in attendance from all over Canada and the U.S., it was fabulous meeting all of you whom I hadn't met earlier, and great to renew old friendships with those I had. Just wish our time together wasn't so short. It's really surprising to meet so many people face to face that you've known for several years on the internet only through words!(None of you looked as I'd pictured!) Thanks to the Port Elgin group and all who made this conference such a huge success! All ages and walks of life got together as one big family to glorify the giant pumpkin! Hope to see you all at the summer picnic in Ohio!

Sure was a good time. Only wish my wife didn't come ,I would have bid on the 846 Calai. What a bargain for 150 US.Saturday was great the squash contraversy didn't rear its ugly head which was nice. Met the guys from Ohio and Pa and New Hampshire, California. It was fantastic.

This was the 4th time i've gone to the seminar, and i think this one was the most fun. found a lot of new people to talk to, and had a great time with the ones i've known for a while. Just the thing i needed to get all pumped up for spring. not too far away now.
