How much water soluble Fertilizer do you use per pumpkin, for the growing season? Whats better to use 15-30-15 or 20-20-20? Should you start using The water soluble Fertilizer in June or start in July?

Toady, Use a high P fert. first, like 15-30-15, to promote root growth. After using that for about 3 weeks switch to a high N fert. to promote vegitive growth for the next few weeks. After that use a balanced fert., like 20-20-20 to help set fruit. Fertilize with a balanced fert. for the next several weeks. 6 weeks before harvest start using a high K fert. like 0-0-60 to encourage maximum fruit growth. After 4 weeks of that stop fertilizing and use liquid seaweed as a foliar spray. You may use fish emulsion and/or seaweed with those fertilizers. Liquid seaweed is a good foliar spray because it prevents the growth of powdery mildew. Read How to Grow World Class Giant Pumpkins, 2 for more information. Good luck, Tom

Tom explained which kind to use. As far as how much I personally use the recommended amount which is 1 gallon of liquid per 10 square feet. I do that once a week. The total amount for the season wasn't even one packet from a box of 4 packets.
