I will be growing a show king giant squash and a pumpkin plant this year, but I do not know witch one to choose as the male plant or witch one to choose as the female plant. Does any one have any suggestions?

It all depends on what the 2 you are planting specifically are.

You don't need to choose "female" plants as both plants will have Females. If you want the seeds from your Pumpkin to produce Pumpkins and from your Squash to produce Squash, then you SELF polinate, which means use male pollen from the same plant as the female. If you cross pollinate, you could get pumpkins or squash from either.
