I planted the emmons 922.5 and it was a complete dud. Had it prepared and planted in good conditions in a peat pot and the seed never even did a thing, looked like new after 5 days. Hope you have better luck if ya got the same seed.

If you just put it in the ground with out it being sprouted,,give it another weeek.....They are slow to germinate in the ground......

No mold/mildew on it? I have had duds before but they allways looked like something the cat barfed up after I dug them back up! Did you use a nice moist sterile medium and keep it at 80 degrees for a few days???

I have to keep my seeds about 90° for them to have good germination. Did you file the edges?

I'll trade for any ones that you think may be duds, as long as they are not light that is. (-; Tom Beachy

Try this before planting the seeds. Ping them off the table from about 12", if they sound hollow then you are probably wasting your time. If they have a solid "thud" sound to them then you probably have a prime seed! Of course check for rot, splits, and other nasties first as well...

Yea gads.....That is a good way to find out. Another way is by flicking your fingernail on the seed...Chris

Hey guys, thanks for the response. I planted my 922 in good starting soil in a peat pot. The soil was moist and warm(not a hard problem in san diego. After 5 days, the seed had no change, no mold or rot or anything, looked like I just put it in the ground. I did soak it overnight before planting but didn't file the edge because I have never had an atlantic not sprout before with this procedure. Looks like I'll be growing something else.

I germinated a 922.5 and it is one of the best looking seedlings I have ever had.
