the 977 anderson was grown from a 1006 Greer (96) and self pollinated. Offspring include 2-624's,745,809, and the 815 Checkon,( which we all know has grown some pretty large fruit.)Hope this helps, Good Luck !

largest pumpkin grown in 1997. name Jaba. Chris Andersen was a 2nd ( or maybe 3rd) year grower. broke the myth that large pumpkins couldn't be grown in California or without full sun. His patch had(has) partial shade.
