Eagan My choice would be the 980 if you have read Joe A article on high breed vigor One would have to choose that on because the 712 and the 723 are very closely related. Both having the 935 as the female. I'm not saying that Your other choices might not turn out to be a better seed but if I was to give it a educated guess that would be my choice. best of luck this season mark.

My vote is the 980 Kuhn... No doubt, Too many dill rings in the Holland. Of course the 712 is almost a sure bet. (check out 712 offspring under Jimb in the photo gallery) Good luck, JimB NHGPGA

Chris, I also think the 980 will do very well, just look at the parents. The 712 grew a 1131 UOW this year, the 723 grew a 1153 this year. The 935 Lloyd grew the 1131 Checkon in 1999 when the 723 was grown, and grew an 801.4 in 2000 when it grew the 712. The 780 Eaton grew a 974.5 in 2000, when it was used to pollinate the 712. And the 865 Mettler grew a 1025 in 2000, but I'm not sure about 1999 when it was used to pollinate the 723 Bobier. All of those seeds have great genes, but I think the 980 will do better. Grow which ever one you want, they should all do well. Tom

Im following the lead of my buddies above and suggesting the 980 as well. When you combine two of the biggest producers in 2001 into one seed, how can you not plant it?
