Has anybody tried bees wax to get your pumpkin ready for competition?

pappy, if it works anything like Lemon Pledge, it will shine up right nice, but make it slippery as a greased pig!
give the lifters a break and wait till it's sitting on the front porch ready for carving...LOL you wouldn't want your 1000 lber getting dropped !
