victorygardener,

A fence of some sort may help. Then go from there.

last year i had problems with deer and i tried human hair, bar soap, cheap perfume, tin pie pans hung on string and fence the deer walked by the hair chewed on the soap tasted the perfume broke down the string the pans were on and ate what they could reach through the fence i ended up making my own hot pepper spray with eggs habanaro peppers vinnegar water and a little blood meal for good luck then i let it set and ferment in the sun for a few days then pour it around and put a little on what they've been eating it stopped them reapply after heavy dew or rain

Try good ol hot wire fence. Try your local ag. supply store or contact Farm Bureau or Ag. Extension Service.

My Grandfather used to use a compound bow and arrow. Worked great and made a really nice stew.

I saw a motion detector device that was hooked up to a water hose. It could spray up to 75 feet or so. It gave the plants a drink, as well as, scared off most critters. It was in a seed catalog that I recieved. Maybe Johnnys Seeds? I'm not sure but I will look it up....Tom

Johnnys Seeds sells a "Scarecrow". It is a motion-activated sprinkler that givs a 3 second burst of water. It runs off a 9-volt battery and of course the waterhose....Tom
