Anybody ever use Xtreme Tea, by Xtreme Gardening? I couldn't find any posts on bigpumpkin mentioning this product. Thoughts or reviews on the product would be great!

Thanks

Keep in mind that I sell/manufacture compost tea brewers. I just want to share that up front so people will know where I'm coming from. However, if I were to buy a compost tea product from a company, I would want to see that they are doing consistent microbial testing of their product (this means lab tests and direct microscopy). I would want to know that their brewing system has been shown to maintain a minimum of .06-.08 mg/l of dissolved oxygen levels throughout the brewing cycle, using their recipe/ingredients. And lastly, that it's easy to clean and use. There are many unsupported claims made in the compost tea industry that are not backed by science or controlled studies. Hope that helps...

I have used C Brewers from both RTI and Tad. I have inpsected under a scope after brew times. I find that both Tads and RTI's brewer have an abundant of creatureZ floating around after the given brew time..... I also used both on my house plants last year during the winter months. I was very happy with what I saw. At Vegas last year we were looking at biology under the scope, and they RTI had brewer setup brewing....

Make sure when you are looking under the microscope, you are seeing bacteria/archea, fungal hyphae (more difficult to identify, many people mis-identify organic matter as fungal hyphae), flagellates, amoeba, and ciliates. Also, nematodes don't like a liquid medium, so they are not typically found in ACT in large numbers. You should be able to see 5-10 per slide when examining compost though.
