This year I am going to grow giant squashes. I have grown giant pumpkins before, so is there anything different about growing giant squashes that I should know?

I believe the same technique is used. This will be my first attempt at a greenie too. Good luck.

Just keep the fruit covered if they are a dark green. I've found they heat up more, just my opinion. Jim

Greenies are more likely to abort than a pumpkin in the first couple weeks...probably because their color absorbs more heat than a yellowish baby pumpkin would. Keep them covered!
