So I've not planted any pumpkins, however my backyard is now littered with dozens of them! I like them and would love to keep them growing!!
However, the rocky hard clay hills there growing in in this part of NC I would think is far from ideal, but so far they are looking great!
Any help or suggestions on how to keep them growing and get some big pumpkins??

If this NewP is? the original Jack...from several years back, then my suggestion would be to drive your tractor over them...if not the original Jack, then disregard my comment! LOL Peace, Wayne

Thanks guys, and Porkchop- I'm not sure what kind I never planted any seeds, although my best few at the moment are slightly larger than basketballs....

Which leads me to my next question....

What dictates the color change?

I have several dozen growing, from very small softball size to large basketball... I have small green ones, and small orange ones... Also have very large green ones, and very large orange ones...
(And no they're not watermelon lol)
