I have bought a new plow it worked great, I was not going to rototill until spring, is this a good idea? can I add my manure / compost to a freshly plowed garden and plant my cover crop or should I till up the soil before planting cover crop? thanks

I usually till then plant the cover crop. If the manure is older you could plant the cover on it but if not I'd till first. I would rake it fairly level first.

I would add the manure or compost and spread it evenly and add any amendments that your patch needs. add some pellet gypsum. Then plow her under again and throw out your cover seed. If you have drainage problems level it out if not leaving it rough wont hurt.less compaction and more air to work on the manure. Thats what I would do
