How bad does the inside of your female blossum have to look before you pass on it; I dont have alot of females on this plant; Does it make a difference on the shape of your pumpkin if it takes?

I pollinated a severely deformed lobe last year on my 1059 VMG and it turned out to be a beautiful pumpkin with a nice shape. Check last years diary.. prob would have been a contender for HD award, but I missed weighoff cause my kid was born. This is not always the case, but if it's all you have, give it a try.

I didnt mean to be caddy with my answer..:p
Generally speaking it is believed that misformed lobes can result in a misformed fruit. Im not sure there is any real evidence to support this and as mentioned above by Luke, it may have no effect. I would suggest pollinating any blossom at the right distance in the right time frame and see what happens.

some of our friends have pollinated and grown out pumpkins with deformed looking segments.many have ended up with splitting problems. there are exceptions but id stay clear of them. pap

I pollinated this female with two males on 6/22, and it is really not growing very fast at all-maybe too deformed? Fortunately I have more females furthers down the main.
