1 egg
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. molasses
2 Tbsp. honey
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. stoneground cornmeal

Beat egg, add molasses, milk, and honey. Blend dry ingredients; stir intoegg mixture. Batter should be soft but firm enough to stay on spoon. Use a deep fryer or a deep pot and heat oil to 375 degrees. Carefully drop a spoonful of batter into the oil. It will expand into outlandish shapes. Cook a few at a time until a nice golden color. Top with apple cider syrup. To make this, pour a quart of cider into a pot that is wider than it is tall and bring to a boil. Let it simmer until thick and syrupy.

Try this recipe! You won't be let down. Kids especially love 'em.

DELICIOUS!!!
