Wht should I do to prepare for 9 degree Celsius (or 48 degrees Fahrenheit)evening temperatures next week? HALP!

My plan is to cover the fruit itself with some cozy blankets, of course while the sun still shines so the heat can be trapped.

And to build (sigh...) yet another little house for the original part of the plant, ie, stump area.

Is this okay? Any suggestions? I don't want my baby to stop growing!

I don't have a house I can use for my plants is it fine to just cover the pumpkin and not the plant

Last year most of our prime growing days had nights in the low 40's.. I think a lot of growers experienced colder nighttime temps ..didn't seem to have too much of an affect.. a sleeping bag over the Kin should do just fine

I could try & give you a great tip for helping your growth in cold snaps,Butt It would most likely get ugly & counterproductive as always. So I will pass

Thanks to all of you for your input.

Bubba, your heart is in the right place, and I understand, so thank you anyway.

Porkchop, I thought that NY state was a relatively warm place and you didn't have nights in the low 40s during "prime growing days". So, it's not just us over here!

Anyway, it is 18 Days After Pollination and my little one ain't so little any more.
