Hi,

My AG plants are now growing well this year with main vines upto 14ft long and secondaries 10 to 12 ft long. Tertiaries are starting to grow out now and I would like to know if there is a specific method of pruning, I only ask as the stems are hollow and I worry about rot.

Do I cut them fluch with the secondary vine, leave a small stub or six inches, any other special care I need to do when pruning these back?

Many thanks !

I like to pinch them off as soon as I can get ahold of them! If you pinch them off when they're tiny you can get must of the tender stem. It won't hurt if there is a little stem left.

Had to have some surgery on my foot, so I've had rehab in the patch time!!
