I let them run a little drier when the days and nights start to cool off.

Good question Old Rookie. I’ve got a good one on the vine at day 45, that just went from 39 lbs a day for 10 days, to 34 lbs a day for the past 5 days so its starting to slow down. I’m not going to ease up on the water or fertilizer until past day 60 when the daily gains will likely be slowing down too.

Good advice PChop and big moon.

Just had this talk with one of the best out there, he starts to lessen water when the days and nights cool and the fruit drops below 20 pounds a day.
This usually begins around starts around the end of August,,, early September..

1 hour before you pick it. I know a few times that 1/2lb makes a difference

It's also dependent on your climate and the shape of the plants. By Sept, I'm getting little light due to trees, am usually battling disease and stem issues from high humidity. I tend to do what Big Moon does.

Thanks. I was just wondering that too. Going to cut back since I am seeing a reduction in pounds per day. Chris, praying you are feeling much better.

I agree with big city, give her the beans until the end, you wont beat so cal if you slow down now. And does it actually cool off in cali. Good luck.
