Hi everyone, I was wondering if giant pumpkins like hight or low EC levels when the pumpkin is growing. Does anybody have experience with ec soil probe?

Beni Meier does all his fertilizing based on his soil/medium ec readings. I cant tell you the numbers he gave in his presentation but he had a cutoff number that he wouldn't fertilize unless his Ec number was below that.So the answer is that he kept the ec in a moderate range/too salty is a negative

Does anyone remember the EC number from Beni's presentation. A few local growers (OK Richmond Dave and Spambie) are using EC meter readings from their soil as well as PPM meter readings for their nutrient feedings, drenches and foliar feeding.

Hi cojoe, my question was about the level, if you can't give us the exact numbers that's not a problem at all, but I would understand the method he uses to check that level, I bought a soil probe, you have just to insert the tip in the soil as deep as you desire and it shows the number. But I noticed every part of the plant has a different value, sometimes very very different. So I don't know how to read the results. Should I consider the average of all the results?
