Anybody use this product and want to help guide me in a feeding regimen. I am not trying to break any records, just a first time grower in a biggest pumpkin contest with coworkers that I want to win! All and any help is welcome!!! Thanks in advance Shannon

I am using that product. When your plant is starting to develop flowers start using this product to help improve flower/fruit and root development. The plastic bag the product comes in states to use 1TBs per gal to max of 3TBs per gallon. When the plants are developing flowers use the low rate. Then when fruits are growing use the higher rate, but DO NOT heavy feed your plants when you are pollinating flowers they could abort. Also, DO NOT use more than 3TBs per gal of this product.

Thanks Christopher...how many gallons per week per plant and is it once a week or twice a week? Also is it based off the size of your pumpkin? Thanks again!

Plants tend to like slow and steady doses of nutrients. So that a 1/2 dose twice a week would probably be better than one full strength dose once a week. Just something for you to consider.

I also use this product and find slow and steady might be a good way to go. Last year, I had a little problem with early aborting and then I noticed one of my fruits deformed early on. I love this product and I will try to use the lower amount as Christopher and Tennessee Dreamer suggest. Thanks!!
I have read a bit on organic growing regarding plants needing late stages of potassium, so this seems to help later as well for me.

BubbaLikesit, It will depend on a couple factors for how many gallons per week. One: how large is the plant? Two: how wet is the soil? I have been using this product once a week.

Late August, how many gallons of this mixture would you use on an 800-1000 square foot plant?

Do you try and cover the entire plant/leaves or just place on the mound and along the vines?

thank you,
