Cal/Mag has some nitrogen in it. Should it be avoided as a source of calcium for a growing pumpkin?

Hollands Biomin Calcium Soluble Powder is 5% nitrogen and He recommends using it all year after the beginning of May, but as a foliar spray.

I think the opinion runs both ways on this

I think a good answer was just posted by bubba,

Seems like a good answer , if its lacking in N that wouldnt be normal, but an excess on N wouldnt be good either.

Take a soil estimator, your size of the plant and the amount of fertilizer you are planning to add in the course of two weeks. If it doesn´t increase the N content by more than 5 ppm then I wouldn´t be worried at all.

Thanks.
Does calcium applied to the leaves make it to the fruit? I hear it is not mobile.
Also, the nitrogen in Cal/Mag is in the nitrate form, so I can't use it on leaves. What sources of calcium to some of you drench with?

I believe you can spray the Hollands Biomin Calcium directly to fruit at a reduced application rate.
