West Paris Me.

I just read in an online newsletter that a grower plants winter rye in the fall and then again in the spring with myco. Since winter rye comes up in the spring am I to take from that is that you rototill the fall rye, wait a week or two and then replant, rototilling 3 or 4 feet ahead of the plant? thanks

it really depends on when you think it will germinate vs when you need to plant and how much the cover would grow over the winter, but we don't wait a couple weeks, we till it and resow right away.

Here in central OH that would work. Not sure about Maine.

cboy, in the spring, do you till it all back in or do you just till it ahead of the plant as it grows?
