I am building a fertilizer injector. How do I determin the flow rate for fertilizer?

It will be a 2 inch injector.

If you want to figure that out I think the only way to go is to run a certian ammount of water thru and see how much fertilizer is sucked in. It might be a simpler solution to get one for $20 on ebay including s&h.
