hello everyone. I've enjoyed reading and learning about growning giant pumpkins. After 14 years of gardening, I'm making my first attempt!! I have 4 healthy plants growning, have made the wind teepees out of 2 old storm windows for each plant and are now ready to brew some tea. Got a jar of natural molasses, qt of fish emulsion, bag of worm castings and an air pump. Gonna fire it up later today. How much of this tea can I apply to each plant without hurting it and how often should it be applied? I am interested in going totally organic with my garden, can I use this tea on all the plants ( I have 140 tomato plants...big garden) and at what regularity can I apply it? Thanks in advance, Maurice Skoch, Topeka, KS

Here is a link to a homepage of one of the top growers in the nation. Look towards the bottom of the page for some Tea recipies. Also talks about application.

check out the compost tea thread, there's some good information in there that should answer your questions. There's also a yahoo group called on compost tea you could join for information. Or, shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll send you a couple of articles.
