Going Green

Greetings my fellow pumpkineers. We have been exchanging seeds for years now. It has been wonderful. Usually over 100 packets of various seeds to plant. We have had GIANT SQUASH, GIANT BUSHEL GOURDS, GIANT LONG GOURDS, GIANT BEET AND RUTABEGA, TALL CORN AND SUNFLOWERS, ZUCCHINI, ONIONS. BEANS, LONG BEANS, AND SO MUCH MORE. Lets make this year the best year ever. Some of you have really been wonderful donors and some have just barely participated. Please shop for your plastic or paper bags now. Please think what are you growing and will I have enough to fill 55 bags with a decent amount of seed. For example.....if you are submitting Giant squash three seeds would be great, if Giant Radish 10-15 seeds would be great, if Giant tomato 5 seeds would be great 10 would be better. Whatever you submit submit 5t bags of the same thing and consider ah sitting another 55 bags of another type of seed. The best growers usually submit 3 or 4 different types of seed. Mail your packaged seed to Phil and Patricia Wellington, 13253 Otten Ave.Cole Camp, Mo. 65325! If you are sending 55 of one type of seed and 55 of another type of seed place each set of 55 baggie in a sack. Also place a label or a sheet of paper with your return address neatly printed so I can send you back seeds from all the other contributors. This means that you will be receiving seeds from all contributors for you to plant. The cost for shipping your seed package will be $7.00 and those sending $15 will get the surprise package different than last year. Don't want the surprise just send $7.00 America in cash. Want the surprise send $15.00 in cash. Put the cash and your return address in a baggie or an envelope. No checks please. I am very excited about the EXOTIC SEED EXCHANGE this year. Any questions call me at 660-668-2420 Phil Wellington. So sign up now.....who is going to participate. Limited to the USA at these cost for return postage.

I nominate TNorange or henry-the-giant pumpkin grower. Or save your seeds and just let it lapse for a year??? I tried the celery, giant butternut, hot peppers, giant radish and giant cabbage... a couple of the giant sunflowers, too. Also the silo corn and gem corn. Anyhow now would be the time to start saving seeds...

It's a shame if this can't keep going; I was looking forward to it.

I'll raise my hand if you don't hear from TNorange.

Nice thanks for offering. It will go on! TNorange hasnt decided. I'll do it as a last resort. Anyone else interested if TNorange cant do it? Anyone can... its not a huge deal probably a few days worth of work in total most of it after October. Im guessing a lot of it is just communication.
