I was away in the US for the last three days. Brian pollinated a nice female on the 998 this morning and I see there will be females open on the 1041 and 1055* in the morning.

The plants have grown a lot in the last week. The first side vines on the 998 have reached the edge of their patch.

The pumpkins got a drench of sea weed and half strength fish tonight, about 4L per plant. All the rest of the garden got a little as well. Full strength fish on the sunflowers, watermelons, cabbage, kohlrabi and tomato's. The tomato's also got 2L each of 10-52-10 solution.

There has been good moisture levels here and no additional irrigation is required at this stage on the pumpkins. Temps have returned to more normal levels, with a high today of 31C. The humidity is fairly high as well, and I'm thinking hard about applying a fungicide. The pHortress is suposed to provide some control and may be all I need at this stage.
