We finally made it home and I prepared to get soaked to the bone as the wife took the kids inside and I went to check the gardens. The wind break surrounding the punkin bed was up in parts but even those just barely, the rest of the yard lay in ruins, the corn (next pic) was torn from the ground and others were flattened, potatoe plants thrashed, tomato plants cut clean off or laying on there side, yet another tree lay on the ground on the far side of the yard. patio furniture all over, a complete mess.
thunder was still booming and lightning flashing the wife runs out to say power is out and she hops in the van to get the weather.
Tornado N.W. of the city and another south of the city, plow winds in front of the storm reach 116km/h. as well hail, heavy rain, thunder and lightning.
Out of all this mess and distruction good news the tree that came down was the neighbours laying partly in our yard as well the 700 Paynter has survived with just one leaf a little bent shown in picture.
Tommorow the clean-up begins...
