Then I did a google search for an image of the 2731 Stelts and I was surprised to discover that Fat Luka looks a lot like his mother did! Then I looked at the smiles on Dave and Carol Stelts' faces. Heck, I had never seen Dave Stelts smiling before. Then I went out and looked at the plant which Fat Luka is growing on. Then I got out a calendar and figured out that the weigh offs at Bauman's Farm and Half Moon Bay are still 41 and 51 days away. Then I added the number 41 to Fat Luka's current OTT measurement. Then I added 51 to Fat Luka's current OTT. And somehow, someway, this Grinch's heart seemed to grow three or four times its old size. And I may have even smiled a little bit as I realized that all is not lost! I think I really could grow to love this fat, ugly pumpkin in the next six or seven weeks.
