Damage Area Removed
Since the area was water soaked with the aid of a plastic spoon the surface flesh was easy to remove. What was interesting is there was basically no smell of pumpkin on this tissue as it seems to just be a build-up was water that is the result of "exploded" cells as there is no sign of rot or decay.
This can certainly be added to the list of. "Odd things that can happen to a giant pumpkin." While I have seen many things, this is certainly a new one and to have developed sub-dermally is also interesting with no signs of a potential issue leading up to this problem also makes it a little scary about when it could happen.
