He told me that when you ramp your main up toward your stem that it can cause your blossom end to roll under the fruit when you get big gains. This literally pulls the fruit away from the vine as it grows and causes tension. To loosen the main vine leading to the fruit you have to loosen the main vine tap roots on the incline leading up to the fruit until you get to level ground. The last tap root that you need to loosen is the one where the incline begins.
