The first long gourd stopped growing recently. So the growth tapered off quickly and went straight down to zero. I'm not sure if this is normal or if its because there are two other gourds on the plant. It grew 40 days at most. I know bushel gourds can sometimes be pushed to grow for more time than 40 days. I havent been pushing the plant very hard lately, not at all really. A bare minimum of water and fertilizer. A lackluster year. I cant say that anything exceeded my expectations, only the tenacity of the weeds...
