Throwback Thursday. This is my grandfather Allen �Big Al� Kisamore and I with the 2416 Haist in 2018. Grandpa was the one who got me interested in giant pumpkins. He grew back in the mid 90�s the first few years the Ohio Valley Giant Pumpkin Growers existed. He was super excited when I offered to take him to the weigh off and also when I said I was gonna try to grow one. Sadly he passed away last July at 88 years old. I guess you could also say this is my motivation photo. Trying to beat his personal best of 571 in 1995 or 1996 I can�t remember, I�d have to go look at all of the OVGPG newsletters he had saved from back in those days.
