Well, this is an interesting tidbit from my first season. The smaller hole of soil where I grew my 574.5 is *totally* clogged with pumpkin roots, it's like lawn sod in there! Seems root bound to me. A 4.2' x 5.5' pit is too small, my other 6.5' pit worked much better. The good news is that I crushed the soil thing last season, yay!

The downside here is that there is no loose soil in there to plant anything in, so my plans are scrapped. My second year is nowhere near what I thought it would be, danged Corona Virus!

At this point of self-isolating, the recent highlight is getting a salad delivered! Wow, really kickin' some AG rear here, lol!
