Well they say you learn something every day.... Thanks to Martin Reiss for suggesting I had spider mites causing the leaves to go yellow and die. And sure enough, closer inspection of the yellowing leaves revealed they were there and in great force. Tiny mites, as well as a good deal of aphids!
Picture shows leaves on the 845 Bobier, have been getting sicker over the last 2 weeks. Have sprayed no insecticide on any of the plants at home, and result is the sick leaves. Closer inspection of the 1301.5, 876 and 805 revealed the same problem, with the 1301.5 having them big time.
Lesson learnt, will be ready for next year. Gave the 845 a complete spray with Talstar and Merit. Hopefully the pumpkin on the plant will continue to grow well, even with the leaf damage.....
